Supervisor – Job Description

This position requires min 2 years’ experience with proven leadership skills. Pay will be based on experience.
The supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in shipping, receiving, quality and inventory to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment for order fulfillment of perishables. The supervisor provides leadership and direction to the warehouse/shipping/receiving department in areas of responsibility including administration, scheduling employees, sanitation, quality, safety and environmental.
This position is seasonal in Yuma AZ.
Qualifications:

Ability to work outdoors through all seasons and weather types including wind and rain, indoors under refrigerated conditions to 32F, wet, dusty, and noisy conditions.

Demonstrated confidence including providing a consistent leadership style with an acceptable level of professional assertiveness.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Ability to use Email, scan & send reports.

Familiar with Famous computer system and Red Line scan guns

Ability to use word and excel.

Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities

Follow all Safety Procedures, Food Safety Standards, and other policies and procedures.

Supervise and train employees in company policies, safety, quality, and production procedures/standards.

Set work schedules to meet the needs of business and control use of overtime.

Allocate necessary space for stock rotation.
-
Participate in continuous improvement projects within the company.

Dedicate a minimum of 70% of your day to on-the-floor supervision.

Monitor cleanliness and organization as you move through the facility.

Ensure a clean and safe working area.

Cultivate and maintain a positive work environment.

Ensure safe, timely, and accurate processing of daily orders.

Ensure correct procedures are followed for product receiving, cooling, handling, and shipping.

Communicate and monitor employee responsibilities and expectations. Follow-up and administer corrective action when necessary.

Review employee work to ensure proper execution in a "Timely Manner".

Complete necessary paperwork and data entry for product tracing and financial service department.

Provides leadership to support company policies, operating methods and standards.

Ability to perform and write routine reports and correspondence.

Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control.
