Cooling Tube Operator- Job Description

This position is responsible for operating the Vacuum Tubes and Hydro-Coolers used to cool fresh field packed vegetables that arrive from the field prior to being transferred to the loading dock for shipment. 
This is a seasonal job in Yuma, AZ.

Qualifications:
•    Requires 1-2 years’ experience but willing to train the right applicant. Pay will depend on experience.
•    Must be teamwork oriented.
•    Punctual and reliable
•    Ability to work within a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
•    Ability to stand/sit for up to 8+ hours/shift and be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs if needed.
•    Ability to work outdoors through all temperatures and weather types including wind, rain, dust, and very noisy conditions. 
•    Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
•    Work safely in a busy environment to include attention to other forklift drivers, field trucks and pedestrians.
•    Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions.
•    Must be able to solve problems involving several variables and situations. 
•    Ability to work under minimal supervision and perform any task assigned by Supervisor.
•    Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
•    Perform cooling operation using 4 Hydro-Vacuum Tubes and 1 Hydro-Cooler 
•    Maintain cooling logs at each tube for all product loads.
•    Monitor a list of assigned checkpoints for each tube, including hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly.
•    File and maintain records for product loads.
•    Ability to use a scan gun for scanning barcodes identifying locations through cooling process.
•    Must adhere to the following policies: Employee Safety, Food Safety and all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Procedures)
•    Operate withing the SOPs for each Hydro-Vac Tube and Hydro-Cooler
